Congress cuts RC&D Federal funding- April 15, 2011
After almost 50 years of assisting rural communities, the RC&D Councils across the United States lost federal funding this week.  RC&D was included in other federal spending cuts that were passed this week, resulting in a loss of federal support for RC&D Councils across the country.  Rolling Hills RC&D Council has plans in motion to continue operations as an independent non-profit organization and keep serving their communities.  Feel free to call the Council office if you have any questions about this transition.  The Council wants to reassure all partners and constituents that they are still working to serve the region!  Effective immediately, RC&D Coordinator Cindy Haygood will be reassigned to other duties.
